What is the best time to schedule a newborn photography session?
The ideal time to schedule a newborn photography session is within the first two weeks after birth. During this period, babies tend to be sleepier, more flexible, and easier to pose, allowing us to capture those adorable, curled-up poses. It's essential to contact us during your pregnancy so we can reserve a spot on our calendar, typically around your due date. However, we understand that every baby arrives on their schedule, so we remain flexible to accommodate changes in your baby's arrival date.
Can family members and siblings be a part of the newborn photoshoot?
Absolutely! We encourage family members, including siblings, parents, and even pets, to be a part of the photoshoot. These images capture the bonds and emotions that surround the arrival of your newborn and create cherished memories for your family. We recommend discussing your preferences during the consultation so we can plan the session accordingly, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and involved.
What should we bring to the newborn photography session?
You don't need to worry about bringing much to the session. We provide a variety of props, blankets, and accessories to create beautiful and unique setups. However, if you have sentimental items you'd like to incorporate into the photos, such as heirloom blankets or toys, please feel free to bring them. It's also a good idea to bring any essentials your baby might need during the session, such as diapers, wipes, and extra outfits. Our studio is designed to be comfortable, with amenities to make your baby's experience as pleasant as possible.
What should I know before my outdoor XV or couples photoshoot?
We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to give yourself time to settle in. Please be fully ready at least 1 hour before the shoot — with hair and makeup done — so you can stay relaxed and stress-free. It’s best to wait in your car with the A/C on to keep your look fresh. Feel free to bring a touch-up kit for makeup, water and a friend or family member to help carry outfits, props, or personal items. If you’re running late, just send us a quick text so we’re aware. And yes, you're more than welcome to bring props that help personalize your session!
What locations can we do a photoshoot at?
We offer a list of beautiful public areas around Brownsville that are perfect for photoshoots. We also have suggestions for private locations that offer a more exclusive look — however, please note that private locations often require a reservation and a fee, and you will be responsible for booking and covering that cost. If you’d like to do your photoshoot outside of Brownsville, there is a $120 travel fee added to your session.
